Presenting the facts to people is not enough. If we really ran our countries based on the facts I wouldn’t have to write about politics. Half of Americans seem to think facts have an “agenda” so you must to appeal to emotion–not rationality. This is one reason why our court systems don’t work very well, think about what the jury’s really listening to: the evidence, or the man in the suit who has a lot of money to make? It’s not a tough choice. If you want to change a mind, tug at the heart. Then use the facts to keep the emotion intact; it’s like building a house outside in.
