Soulless

I don’t understand all this gibberish people tell each other about souls, who insist on some sort of cycle or afterlife. We don’t remember what happened before we were born, I don’t see why people think it’ll be any different if it happened again. If the soul’s really eternal then we should have plenty of past-life memories, it shouldn’t matter if I were a fly, an elephant, or on an entirely different plane of existence–a soul is supposed to be eternal–there’s no point in it at all if I can’t keep the things that define me. But we don’t remember, I can’t remember much of what I did yesterday, nor will I remember any of this after I’m dead because that requires a brain, not a soul.
